Additionally, it’s fitted with a textured handle, includes a thumb ramp with jimping for reverse drawing the blade, and a lanyard hole for retention cords. The blade is flat-ground almost all the way to the spine, which provides a razor edge and increases the sharpening life.
Every Krypteia S is Made in the USA and includes a black Tru-Hide KYDEX® sheath, which is compatible with any of our sheath mounts.

Customers praised this tactical fixed-blade for its exceptional build quality, describing it as "sturdy and well made" with "perfect balance." The thick blade and G10 grips provide confidence for heavy-duty tasks. However, some noted inconsistent dimensions, sheath liner issues, grip size concerns, and that it doesn't come very sharp from factory.

I have quite a few fixed blade knives, but the Krypteia S is the fixed blade that I have been carrying in the field for the past few years. The size and weight are manageable, and the knife cuts well as a general purpose knife. The complaints about a dull knife are puzzling, as mine was razor sharp from the factory. Others have mentioned that the grips have sharp edges, which I agree is an issue. One has to take a file to the grips to remove the sharp edges - this is something the factory should consider doing so we aren't having to modify the knives when we get them. I don't care for friction sheaths. It would be nice to offer a more secure sheath that one can be certain will retain the knife under less than optimal circumstances. The complaints that it's not a self-defense knife seem to miss the point. This is not primarily a fighting knife. It is a field knife. In my world, if you are relying on a knife for fighting, then you're in dire straits. In such a circumstance, you may want to consider employing a tanto (with a long stabbing blade) for deep penetration (not the angled blades that people associated with the term).

Like the weight and handle.
This knife has some heft to it despite its size. At first glance I wasn’t impressed until I picked it up and felt how sturdy and well made this knife is. The g10 grips are comfortable yet have enough texture to have a solid grip without the worry of slipping. The panels are also not super aggressive and are comfortable enough to carry inside the waistband and not have your skin get rubbed raw. The blade is quite thick but not in a bad way. You can tell that this knife means business and will not bend or break easily. The blade come razor sharp right out of the box and comes in a nice kydex sheath that appears to be velvet or suede lined. The sheath has a nice tight fit and a low profile with no sharp edges. I have not been able to use this knife outside of everyday tasks like cutting boxes and cable ties, but I am confident this knife can take the same abuse as my old Gerber, from my time in service, that this is replacing.

This baby is thick. It won't break when it hits bone. From simple tasks like cutting food, cleaning game, to emergency life saving use. This knife stands up to the challenge. Made in America.

I bought a Krypteia S and man this thing is built solid, thick spine, good weight this knife will be able to chop, cut, ideal multi use knife. Had a bit of an issue with the handles but my man Gary from customer service is the man. Not only would they cover any costs if i had to send it back he sent me brand new scales handles! Leather sheath is great fits perfectly. The kydex sheath is pretty unique that it had actual padding on the inside so the retention is great and the tip wont get dulled hitting the end of the sheath. Its worth every penny!

The truth is, the Krypteia is still Toor’s best knife. I have a valor, it’s great too, and a few others, all of which are decent knives, but. This knife right here is truly what they have that is better than you can get anywhere else. It fits so well in fat, arthritic hands, the edge retention is superb, and you can use it for 99% of the things you might need a knife for, including protection. I have a heavy metal limited edition, I carry either it or a buck 110 auto-elite every day- the blades are about the same size and quality- Those familiar with the 110 auto-elite will know that this is a truly honorable comparison.
