Dropwing - Shadow Black
Description
Toor Knives x Haley Strategic
The Dropwing is the long-awaited folding evolution of the legendary Darter, engineered through years of collaboration between Travis Haley and Connor Toor, and brought to life with the precision of Toor Manufacturing. This knife merges the aggressive performance of a purpose-built combat blade with the compact convenience of a modern EDC folder. Designed for operators, first responders, and everyday carriers, the Dropwing delivers uncompromised reliability, premium materials, and field-proven ergonomics for any mission or environment.
At its core is a 3.5” CPM Magnacut blade hardened to 61-63 HRC, offering exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. The Darter-inspired profile provides controlled slicing, piercing strength, and versatility for both utility and defensive tasks. Smooth deployment comes from a phosphorus bronze washer system, chosen for durability in harsh, debris-filled conditions.
The Dropwing’s Crossbar Lock ensures secure lockup with ambidextrous operation, while the G10 handle delivers a confident grip in all environments. Titanium hardware and a backspacer keep the knife lightweight yet structurally rock-solid, and the titanium clip provides secure, reliable carry.
This is the folding knife built for those who demand the very best, whether on duty, in the field, or around town.

Folding Blade
Customers praised this folding knife's exceptional craftsmanship and quality, noting "impeccable build quality" and "razor sharp" blade. The grip provides "amazing comfort and control," with "rock solid lock up" and smooth action. Some noted the handle is thicker than expected, with one finding it "awkwardly so." One customer reported sizing concerns and lack of return response.
- Razor sharp and excellent build quality. The grip gives amazing comfort and control.
- Impeccable craftsmanship and quality second to none!
- Truly the best folding knife I have ever owned. The finishing is perfect.
I received the knife which had very stiff opening and a lot of lateral blade play. The pivot (and other screws) did not sit in the center of the scale indents. I immediately wrote to Customer Service with these observations and have yet to even receive a reply. I have since disassembled the knife and discovered more issues.
It’s a great knife. Sharp out of the box. Butter smooth. Great flicker. The only thing I will say is that I wish the blade itself had an index finger (flipper/ finger stopper) to it. Other than that small complaint it a beautiful knife.
Great knife for a little bit of everything. More so for edc or a more concealable self defense knife. Fits great in the hand, for reference I wear L/XL gloves. Texture and grip are good, locking bar is very stable and blade comes sharp out of the box. Overall very good, would buy again.
Best folder ever get one you will be happy that you did.
This my 6th Toor blade I have purchased and as always impeccable craftsmanship and quality second to none!
Sturdy, sharp, good ergonomics. Strongly recommend
Love it!!
Incredible lock up and build quality. Superb. Handle is way too thick though - almost awkwardly so.
Great EDC knife!
🔥
Great knife, very solid, a little heavier than I thought, but I guess that means it's a very solid durable knife. Cuts packages and great for self defense it it's ever needed. Nobody is going to break this blade!
Too big a knife for me. Asked about a return thru email have not heard from Toor!!!
Such a great knife. Smooth action and sharp blade. As always another topnotch tool.
Another beautiful addition. Incredibly well crafted.
Came in razor sharp and excellent build quality which has become the standard for Toor knives. It is nice to finally have American made blades available for both daily use and tactical applications. The grip is where this knife truly excels, gives you amazing comfort and control no matter what conditions you are working in. This one is really a slam dunk for Toor.
Sharp, solid lock up, stabby in a good way!
Super cool knife, wanted the black, but didn't want to wait so got the Ranger Green and it's a great knife. Really solid, built like a tank, and super sharp. Not just a knife to open boxes every day, but feels like a real weapon in your pocket if you need it to be.
Everything about this knife is extremely well done! IF the word gets out about the Dropwing and the amazing work being done at Toor, Benchmade should be afraid.
This is such a well crafted blade. My only regret is I just purchased the Draper (which is also an awesome blade) and now I am torn on what to carry with me.
Bought it as a Christmas present for my husband for work and he loves it. Nice grip.
Fits like it was made for me. Indexes beautifully, always know where the edge is.
Solid well built knife.
One of the most beautiful knives I own. Perfectly crafted.
The curvature of the knife feels natural in my hand. The blade locking is perfectly tight. Truly the best folding knife I have ever owned. The finishing is perfect. 10X.
Nice blade, good heft, sturdy. The flip could be a touch smoother.
Badass blade
Amazing quality knife. The handle was thicker than expected but I typically carry a benchmade 940 or a Chris Reeve small inkosi. This is a bit bigger than both of those but feels 10x more secure in the hand. Hides in the pocket well and will definitely be the main carry knife for me. Lock up is rock solid and one hand opening is great even for my smaller hands
Great design, love the handle texture. Always admired the Darter, but preferred a folder for EDC. The Dropwing is a great blend of what I like about the Darter, but in a folder.
