Tombstone Specter R
Description
Silent, deadly, and impossible to ignore, meet the Tombstone Specter R. This is the longest-reaching blade in the Tombstone Collection, designed for those who want maximum capability without sacrificing balance. Finished in Black & Brass and marked with exclusive blade engravings, the Specter R carries the same outlaw spirit with a little extra reach when it matters most.
The Specter R features a 4.25” CPM M4 blade with a black KG Gunkote finish, providing excellent abrasion, chemical, and impact resistance. With a blade thickness of 0.1875” and hardness rated at 59-61 Rockwell, it offers a refined blend of cutting performance and durability. The 9.25” overall length and extended 5.0” handle deliver superior control, leverage, and confidence during extended use.
Outfitted with brass accents and our Snakebite G10 handle texture, the Specter R stays planted in the hand regardless of conditions. At 6.5 oz., it carries lighter than it looks while still bringing serious capability to the table. Made in the USA, each knife includes a DuoTone™ KYDEX® sheath, with easy retention adjustability and multiple friction offsets to eliminate blade rattle. When the dust settles, the Specter R is still standing.

- Well made, lightweight, great balance. The knife is very sharp.
High quality. The finish, grind lines, bevels, steel used and feel in the hand are top tier. I have the M.U.F. and Crewman as well. All knives from Toor have made me happy. Toor knives are on my deployments rotation, now. Worth the extra coin.
Let me start by saying I have 4 Toor Knives , bought over the years ,but when I saw the Tombstone Specter R , well I was in love with it . Sleek ,sharp , brass accents , and it fit's in my hand like it was made for me. It's all business swift out of the sheaf love the ring so you can do a little spinning like a certain character out of the old west.
Well the only down side is Toor should have called this one The Doc Holiday.
Really appreciate the quality of the blade! It’s exactly what I wanted. I like nice things and my daily carry is an Atlas EOS and this blade will go with it perfectly!
excellent - top tier quality. Immediate addition to my EDC!
slight honing touch-up and it's perfect
This is the second Toor blade I've purchased and probably not the last. My son picked the Tombstone specter for his edc and its beautiful. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is why I give them 5 stars.
Love this knife. It feels good and built to last. One of my top knives. It now sits in my carrier.
Awesome Knife
Wicked knife.
The Specter R arrived in two days from when I purchased it and that was before Christmas! Easily concealable EDC. If your keeping it for life, then it’s worth it.
This little fixed blade is nice. It is easy to conceal, easy to hold onto, easy to use. It is high quality with attention to detail. The sheath is slim and effective for easy concealability. I am glad I bought it.
Outstanding knife
Fantastic fit - finish and balance. Great tool to add to your kit.
Great addition to my plate carrier.
Beyond expectations. Nice work!
First of all the packaging is really top notch, and the knife quality is excellent. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The knife is my new daily carry. I really like quality and my daily carry is an Atlas EOS and my new Specter R fits in perfectly with my EDC. Also their customer service is awesome as well. Gary you ROCK, thank you for taking care of me! My next purchase will be a Darter.
Overall it’s a great blade and I’ve enjoyed carrying it this last week. (Arrived a week ago) I immediately inserted it into my EDC and began drilling with it.
For reference, I bought this as an EDC tool to use, in a similar manner as a Benchmade SOCP.
While this review is still early on, these are some of my thoughts for the product, right out of the box.
1. Sheath. The sheath retention is great, I’ve given it a few GOOD shakes now. It’s rock solid and is not going anywhere. Even trying to forcefully shake out because I want at least one test where I make it fail, and it really won’t fail without me intentionally withdrawing it somewhat so it sits loosely. If using the sheath as designed, I have full confidence the blade won’t come out at all. Minor note, but I really enjoy that theres a soft material, like a velvet(?) on the interior to protect the blade and the edge from damage. That feels like something more quality knives should have, as far too often does an expensive knife come with no way to clean or protect your edge.
2. Design. The overall design is very intuitive, and while handling the knife, you can really see where your fingers are meant to go, and that there was thought out into making a grip that was secure in more ways that just one. Icepick grip, a more traditional grip, using the finger ring with both your index finger or your thumb, it all works and feels comfortable.
3. Duty use. I’ve been drilling and practicing with it, and I normally rock it in AIWB carry with the rest of my EDC or just putting it into my pocket. AIWB it does great, I expected that the length would make it difficult to conceal but it’s actually simple. My shirt covers everything up and I’ve hardly lost any range of motion. At least not anymore than I normally have.
The grips made it a little difficult to wield a sidearm in the same hand as the blade at first, as I was used to the skeletonized SOCP, which is something I practice with from time to time, but as I’ve been practicing and adjusting, I’ve gotten more comfortable with it and the problem went away by adjusting just a little bit, so overall I’m happy with it now.
My only complaint here is entirely self inflicted and not reflected on the actual product but an accessory purchased along side it. It is that the IWB clip is a little too soft for my tastes. Training with it, I’ve had instances where I’ve yanked the whole sheath out of my belt while deploying my blade, because the clip had too much give. If I were to buy this again I’d grab a different IWB clip and I’ll likely purchase a different one. Secondly, on the topic of pocket carry, I neglected to purchase a pocket clip and that was a huge mistake. I often find while attempting to carry it in my pocket, that it has a tendency to lean outward as I walk, and half of my grip is sticking out against my silhouette and on one occasion caught on something (around the house thankfully) and fell out.
In conclusion, I’ve really enjoyed the product and I’ve had a great time with it! The design is intuitive, comfortable, and let’s be honest, most importantly, it looks absolutely badass. Carrying it is easy and training with it hasn’t brought up any issues that weren’t resolved by continuing to practice and getting comfortable with it. It’s survived my retention shake tests, drops onto concrete, asphalt, hardwood floor, etc. definitely worth the investment.
TLDR: Love the knife and it’s sheath! I’d probably buy a pocket clip and a different IWB clip. IWB clip is too soft, I’d prefer metal clips for both.
These knives are awesome & I own more than I can justify. Great quality & good service when ordering. Wish they’d open up possible custom builds/orders.
The quality is top notch, down to the smallest detail. Feels like it was custom built to fit my hand.
The packaging was over the top, way more than I expected.
I hope I never have to use it, but the lifetime warranty is exceptional as well.
Thank you,
Another exceptional knife from Toor. I utilize this as an inside the waistband carry and it basically disappears.

This hands down the best knife I've had!!
It's light, it's sleek, the blade is double-edged and sharp as hell! Yeap, best knife I've ever had. It's my EDC knife, and I will continue to purchase knives from Toor!!
Ordered as a gift for my brother. Excellent craftsmanship and excellent customer service.

Bought this knife to carry on duty. Great quality and construction. Fits my hand perfectly. I bought it from another website so I had to add an attachment to be able to mount it to my vest. Other than that I am very happy with this blade. Super sharp and very good looking.

Love it.
Received as a gift for 40th. Had my eye on this blade for a long time. This thing is absolutely a professional tool. Perfect with the ulticlip mini, clip it right in the pocket. Will buy another one eventually.
