This updated version of our original MarlinSpike features two additional finger grooves at the top, for added grip, as well as a hole for a lanyard or FOB to be attached, providing the opportunity for faster access, as well as personalization. Originally designed as a nautical tool used to splice ropes, untie knots, or form toggles/handles, the MarlinSpike is a true beast that’s ready to tackle any situation.

Constructed from universally tough 4140 steel, this versatile tool is designed to be impact and fracture resistant from repeated stress. The finger grooves at the top and bottom of the spike ensure a non-slip grip when operating in slick conditions and we topped it off with a KG Gunkote finish on Phantom Grey and Canyon Drab, and a Black Oxide finish on Carbon.

Every MarlinSpike 2.0 is Made in the USA and includes a black Tru-Hide KYDEX® sheath which is compatible with all of our mounts.

Great piece of pointy metal

What can I say, it’s a high quality piece of pointy metal! Does exactly what it’s supposed too, great for rope work or more

Granted I don’t work with the mooring lines like I did in the Navy so I don’t think the tip is too pointy like someone complained about so I think it’s just great for the size of cordage most people have these days like 550 cord and smaller

I was looking for a boot knife and found this gem.

I was looking for a boot knife and found this gem. This serves the same purpose of a stabby tool for a backup. I added a utliclip and it securely attaches to my boot with no one being the wiser. I bought a second one for my wife to use while jogging.

First. Build quality is absolutely amazing. Toor is a master at creating tools that feel and look amazing.

Second, the point is wayyyyy too fine 😂. I understand that the primary reason for this tool is a "marlin spike" but after stabbing a tree trunk the tip has already bent out of place. Nothing a bit of filing can't fix.

But I do wish the tip wasn't as fine as it comes. That being said there are no major complaints and I absolutely will buy again.

Maybe good a some sort of weapon, but as a knotters tool it is far too sharp so it tears through the cord instead of moving it. Could do with knurling.

This is a fantastic piece, the fit and finish is nearly perfect. I really like the sheath that came with the MarlinSpike 2.0, it is a very nice size and yet feels heavy and strong. I look forward to carrying it daily.
