Born from the realities of close-quarters readiness, the Cortano is purpose-built for personal protection. Every curve, edge, and feature serves a singular mission: to get you home. At its core lies a no-nonsense Wharncliffe blade, chosen not for flash but for function. The straight edge delivers control. The tip, reinforced and aligned for thrusting, punches with intent. And thanks to its flat profile, it's easy to sharpen, even in the field.

Measuring in at a solid 3/16" thick, the blade isn't trying to be delicate. It's a blade you can bet your life on, thick enough to withstand abuse, balanced enough to remain fast in hand.

But what truly sets the Cortano apart is its central retention ring, a design element inspired by gloves-on grip work and high-stress conditions. The ring is sized to be operable under pressure, even when your motor skills aren't perfect. Positioned dead center, it allows for rapid indexing and immediate deployment, especially in its intended scout-carry position. The custom sheath leaves the ring exposed for this very reason, making it possible to deploy the Cortano with nothing more than a finger hook and a forward motion.

Great knife, awesome handle design, would love to see more like it

I have a Cortano in grey and I really like it. It arrived very sharp, the grinds look great, the jimping is the right blend of aggressive and understated, and the grips have a deep texture. The sheath feels high quality and has some sort of felt/cloth liner that improves retention and helps quiet the sheathing/unsheathing. A small corner of the cloth was peeling up when I received it, so I superglued it back in place. I would really love to see Toor come out with a larger/longer/more traditional blade style utilizing this style of handle/finger ring. I think it would also be neat if the sheath took advantage of the finger ring for retention, similar to the sheath of the Colonel Blades LowVz. I have the sheath mounted using an Ulticlip slim 3.3 and I would highly recommend this setup.

CORTANO EDC

I’m sold in this blade stile!, point & edge!. Perfect for horizontal belt carry. Behind the IFAK pouch, hidden in plain sight. You open your hand, and the knife stay on it. Love the index/pinky ring, take some use to it, but I no time is second nature. Perfect get the f of me blade. Ain’t for camping, is for business!, plain & simple. Waiting for the SOCOM black!. This blade ain’t for collecting, is to get you home!.

This knife is SICK. I absolutely love it. It’s my new car knife. It’s my first choice I grab when it comes to protecting me and my girl when Im driving in the streets of Los Angeles. M4 steel, badass handle that fits in the palm like brass knuckles, ring placement that acts like brass knuckles as well… this knife is a self-defense king. Good job Toor!

This is a sleeper for personal defense

This is a sleeper for personal defense. It's very sharp and the point is about as pointed as you can make it. The ring is very essential to hold and control it with either hand. I got the attachment for my belt and have tried it in several positions. I have it mounted on my right side and can retrieve it with my left or right hand.

Its very sharp and has a point like an ice pick. I like the finger hole if needed the knife in a fight i would be able to hold on to it.

I love this blade. Having the finger ring behind the blade rather than the end of the grip makes wearing this horizontally on my belt so much easier. The streamlined grip does not get caught on things while walking close. The ring and aggressive grip pattern for comfortable and secure in your hand. I have a few Toor knives and completely satisfied with every one.
