Vespen - Phantom Grey

$295.00 USD
Description

Introducing the Toor Knives Vespen, a stunning fusion of modern craftsmanship inspired by iconic Japanese bladed weapons. This knife stands out with its modified katana tanto grind, a design that echoes the elegance and effectiveness of classic Japanese swords while delivering practicality for contemporary self-defense scenarios.

The Vespen has been intentionally thickened to provide ample strength and mass behind both the blade and tip, allowing it to handle heavy-duty tasks with confidence. The gradual tanto tip grind, combined with a modified flat main bevel, guarantees that the blade not only boasts a razor-sharp edge but also excels in impact resistance, reinforcing the Vespen’s reliability in critical situations.

Vespen

The overall slim design makes this one very easy to carry. It seems like a sturdy design although I haven’t tested that extensively yet(because I only have one, and I like it). The Vespen arrived extremely sharp, as in shave worthy, which I adore. I liked the vespen so much that I went and bought a Valor. Unfortunately, the Valor did not arrive sharp at all, in fact I have butter knives with a nicer edge. After some research it seems the valor may be part of “the old QC”? Not sure what happened there but now I’m stuck with a very expensive paper weight I suppose. Anyway back to the Vespen, I think of it as a multi purpose tool that could be a life saver in more ways than one, you just need to carry one!

This knife is thick and tough while still being easy to conceal in a deep pocket. The sheath is narrow and slim for concealment or easily fits on a belt. The knife fits tight in the sheath while still be easy to remove. Even with a narrow blade the thickness of the handle makes it comfortable to grip. Super sharp.

This is another fantastic product from Toor, the fit and finish is great. The weight is just right, it's thicker than I expected but its a perfect fit in my hand.

Awesome knife & materials! Only issue ive had was the kydex sheath. They put felt in there and if you use the knife after a couple weeks the felt comes off and youre unable to sheath it. I emailed them and they never responded back. I was able to use a drill and drill out closed end, then soak it in hot water and finally get the felt out. Im back to using my vespen now. Wish they offered their knives without the felt.

Looking for a new toothpick?

I was searching the usual suspects for something new. The father's day gifts were great, but I wanted....something else.
Toors popped up in my search as a veteran owned, striving for best practice business. I'm not a veteran. I thank them for their service and support veteran businesses, as does my employer.
Quick service, great packaging and presentation with accessories. Nice price. Lightweight. Sharp. Very pleased with holster and separately purchased MOLLE attachment. I'm going to get a couple more of those. A small frog lube and polishing cloth and some stickers included. Nice touch.
I bought another item, I'll favorably review it later when I've got the chance to look at it more.
It was my first frog gig from this company, but it won't be the last.
Great knife!

Toor provides exceptional craftsmanship in the blades that they offer, as I understand it the company was founded by Vets and employs them as well (I wish more would.)
I like collecting handmade craftsmanship, that can be used flawlessly in their given specialty, they work amazingly well.
Everyone should own at least 2, I’m fortunate and have almost a dozen!

Ive bought several knives and two tomahawks from toor. I have always had to clean them up due to sharp edges on the handle scales or a spot that just creates a hotspot. This is the first blade I have received from them that didn't need to be modified. Great job team. Now most would ask why would you continue to buy such expensive weaponry if you have to fix it, well the materials used are excellent and I don’t mind making small adjustments plus, I love supporting a veteran owned and operated company in the USA. And they do have some great designs. I think they just need to remove the gloves and feel for edges every once in a while and make adjustments. With all that said The Vespen is an absolute win and has now become my combat edc. This is part knife part crowbar. Thick spine and razor sharp. Keep on rocking Toor.
