Two hundred and fifty years ago, a nation unlike any other was born.

Not through inheritance, but through conviction.

Not through comfort, but through sacrifice.

America was forged by individuals willing to risk everything for the freedom to shape their own future. Farmers, tradesmen, frontiersmen, craftsmen, and soldiers stood together under a common belief that liberty was worth fighting for and that free people should determine their own destiny.

For 250 years, that spirit has endured.

At Toor Knives, we call it the Spirit of America.

A Nation Forged by Builders

The story of America is not simply one of battles won or documents signed. It is the story of people who built. They built homes, farms, railroads, businesses, and communities. They pushed westward into uncertainty and turned wilderness into opportunity. They relied on hard work, perseverance, and the tools they carried every day.

Among those tools, few were as essential as the American knife.

Long before modern conveniences, a knife was a constant companion. It harvested food, cut timber, prepared hides, repaired equipment, and protected those who carried it. It was a working tool that helped forge an independent nation.

The knife was never simply an object. It represented self-reliance. It represented preparedness. It represented freedom.

And in many ways, it still does.

The Spirit of America

The Spirit of America lives in the people who continue to build with their own hands and forge their own path. It lives in makers and craftsmen. It lives in ranchers, tradesmen, outdoorsmen, first responders, and protectors. It lives in veterans and entrepreneurs.

It lives in anyone who values independence, responsibility, and the pursuit of something greater than themselves.

Those same values are the foundation of Toor Knives. As an American-made company founded by a Marine and built by craftsmen, machinists, engineers, and veterans in San Diego, California, we understand that strength is earned, not given. We believe in building products with purpose and honoring the legacy of those who came before us.

Introducing the Liberty

To commemorate America's 250th birthday, Toor Knives proudly introduces the Liberty, a limited edition version of the Krypteia S. Limited to just 100 pieces, the Liberty is our tribute to the spirit that built this country. Featuring Toor’s trusted Krypteia standard blade and American Black Walnut handle scales, every detail was selected with purpose. Black Walnut was prized by generations of American frontiersmen and rifle makers for its strength, beauty, and durability. It became synonymous with the tools that accompanied those who pushed westward and helped shape a growing nation.

Each Liberty is paired with a handcrafted Crazy Horse leather sheath. Known for its rugged appearance and natural distressing, every sheath develops its own unique character. No two are exactly alike, just as no two stories of freedom are the same.

The Liberty is not a reproduction of the past. It is a tribute to the mindset that made the past possible.

Carrying Liberty Forward

The celebration of America's 250th birthday is not about nostalgia.

It is about remembering the spirit that built this country and recognizing that it still lives today. Freedom and liberty are not abstract ideas. They are built through sacrifice. They are protected through strength.

They are carried forward by people willing to take ownership of their lives and build something meaningful. That same spirit exists today in those who work hard, create, protect, and refuse to settle. The Spirit of America is alive. And for 250 years, it has been forged through resilience, courage, and the enduring pursuit of freedom. The Liberty was created to honor that spirit.

Limited to 100 pieces, it stands as a reminder that strength is forged, independence is earned, and liberty is carried forward by those willing to build something that lasts.
