As our portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced sales leader to build and scale our wholesale organization into one of the premier dealer sales organizations in the outdoor industry. 

Position Overview 

This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for a proven builder with deep relationships throughout the tactical, hunting, outdoor, and shooting sports industries. The ideal candidate has successfully built sales organizations from the ground up, developed high-performing dealer networks, and understands every level of wholesale sales—from independent dealers to national retail chains, distributors, buying groups, and international markets. 

This position requires extensive travel. We believe the strongest dealer relationships are built in person, not over email or video calls. The Director of Sales is expected to spend significant time in the field visiting dealers, distributors, independent sales representatives, buying groups, trade shows, and strategic partners throughout North America and internationally. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute the wholesale sales strategy for Toor Corporation. 
  • Scale and grow the existing dealer network throughout North America. 
  • Build, recruit, train, and lead inside sales, outside sales, and independent manufacturer representative organizations. 
  • Develop sales processes, KPIs, forecasting, territory management, and compensation plans. 
  • Manage relationships with independent dealers, national retail accounts, distributors, buying groups, and international partners. 
  • Develop dealer merchandising and in-store marketing programs to improve sell-through. 
  • Travel extensively to build long-term relationships with customers and partners. 
  • Represent Toor Corporation at SHOT Show, NRA Annual Meetings, Blade Show, Outdoor Retailer, distributor events, and customer meetings. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, and Operations to support product launches and long-term growth. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of wholesale sales leadership within the tactical, firearms, hunting, outdoor, sporting goods, or EDC industries. 
  • Proven experience building and scaling a wholesale sales organization from the ground up. 
  • Established relationships with dealers, distributors, buying groups, and national retailers. 
  • Experience leading both inside and outside sales organizations. 
  • Experience recruiting and managing independent sales representative groups. 
  • Experience with dealer sales, distribution, merchandising, and wholesale pricing strategies. 
  • Experience with international sales and distribution. 
  • Strong leadership, forecasting, negotiation, and business planning skills. 
  • Willingness to travel 40–60%+ including overnight and international travel.

We are specifically seeking candidates from premium product companies serving the tactical, firearms, optics, hunting, outdoor, or EDC industries. Experience selling through independent dealers, distributors, buying groups, and specialty retailers is essential.

Travel Expectations 

This is a highly relationship-driven leadership position requiring approximately 20–30% travel. Regular travel includes dealer visits, ride-alongs with sales representatives, distributor meetings, buying group events, national retail account meetings, industry trade shows, and international distributor visits. We believe great partnerships are built across the table—not just across a screen.
