ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
In this role, you will drive wholesale sales at the dealer level and provide coordinated team sales support activity with company personnel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Focused outbound telephone sales of Toor Knives products to a growing dealer base. Must be able to close sales and provide detailed call reports.
• Generate new leads and prospects within a geographical region and assist in the setup process and authorization of new dealer additions.
• Promote national and regional sales promotions and programs, when applicable.
• Meet and exceed monthly revenue goals and product quotas as established.
• Assess individual dealer needs and suggest how Toor Knives products can meet their requirements.
• Attain working knowledge of company’s history, image and mission, and successfully communicate this message to your dealer base.
• Attain expertise in the features and benefits of all Toor products and successfully communicate the unique qualities of the products and services we offer.
• Maintaining an outbound call schedule, manage booking programs and backorders.
• Utilize sales metrics, complete market research reports as required for brand and territory development.
• Successful candidates are goal-oriented, outgoing, motivated, persuasive, able to multi-task and possess a desire to learn.
• Must have ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to travel into territory on an annual basis.
• A pleasant personality, professional phone manner and great communication skills along with the ability to prioritize tasks is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
• Ability to multi task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves product terminology; Provides occasional guidance, some of which is technical.
• Possess a positive attitude and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork with co-workers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor degree preferred, but not required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years inside retail or wholesale sales experience is required.
• Computer proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook with strong interpersonal skills required.
• Working knowledge of CRM operating systems a plus.
• Experience and passion within the Tactical, Outdoor or Action Sports industries is preferred.
